Ed Malaga

Ed Malaga has worked as a freelance bassist in the Washington D.C. area since joining Local 161-710 in 1989. He has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra, Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, the Washington National Opera Orchestra and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra among many others.

Ed joined the Executive Board of Local 161-710 in 2008 and was elected its President in 2011 where he is currently serving. He was elected to the IEB at the 2019 AFM Convention.
