Luc Fortin

Luc has been an AFM member since 1980 and served as President of Local 406 (Guilde des musiciens et musiciennes du Quebec) from 2006 to 2024. In 2025, he was named an honorary member of his local by the board of directors.

At the 102nd AFM convention, Luc became the first French-Canadian elected to the International Executive Board, representing our federation's cultural and linguistic diversity.

He is a guitarist skilled in jazz, Latin, and classical music with a master's degree in composition. Luc currently serves on the city Council of his town (Vercheres - PQ) and on the Board of directors of the Quebec Association for Suicide Prevention.
